inspired me to start practicing my traditional skills (beyond just inking) so here is my first attempt at painting one of my drawings with actual watercolors instead of digital colors. Obviously I have lot's more practicing to do lol.
I absolutely love the design and flow of the clothing and its patterns. The striking and traditional composition, with its definite shapes and liquid shading, holds my eye. The cloud on the right keeps bringing my eye back to the figure after the brightness of the moon draws it upward.
As others have said before me, this is beautiful. I just bought a watercolor set today myself, and I can only hope that my first attempt will be as good as yours.
Did you use watercolors in a tube, or did you use a dry palette?
